VELOCIPEDE Posted October 9, 2005 Share Posted October 9, 2005 http://www.ow-racing.com/ Yesterday, 08/10/05, OW-Racing.com was formally presented with a SUMMONS IN A CIVIL ACTION in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Massachusetts. The case # is 05 11639 NG. The complaint in part reads as follows, "iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC f/k/a First, LLC and First-Racing.Net ("iRacing"), alleges for it's complaint against Tim Robinson ("Robinson"), individually and d/b/a www.ow-racing.com and www.torn8oalley.com, as follows: ...........intentionally and maliciously: (a) violate iRacing's registered copyrights in NASCAR 2003 by offereing downloads and reactivates links to his modifications of NASCAR 2003, which modifications include mechanisms that enable users to circumvent NASCAR 2003's copyright protection systems; ( register and maintain two different, sister websites (www.owracing.com and www.torn8oalley.com) through which he can facilitate the propagation and support of his NASCAR 2003 derivative versions; and © violate the Confidential Disclosure Agreement by disclosing and disseminating confidential and proprietary information regarding iRacing's Beta Software." Guest AsterX Posted October 13, 2005 Share Posted October 13, 2005 C'è una differenza: i diritti di GPL sono di Sierra (o di chiunque abbia acquisito Sierra stessa), mentre iRacing (cioè Kaemmer e il suo socio), si sono ricomprati da Sierra/Vivendi il codice e diritti di NR2003.
