CSGT is proud to present our Holiday Preview Mod.

Happy Fasching, Joyous Carnival, Happy Fat Tuesday!!!

New in V1.1

Improved physics for all cars.

Improved Damage modeling.

Revised upgrades to allow expert drivers to switch to manual transmission and H-box shifter timings.

Assorted minor graphic fixes, revised setups, RCD files, & etc.

Users of RealFeel need to ensure that the MaxForceAtSteeringRack value is set properly for the 906 and 910. We recommend that the settings for your wheel/controller follow the recommendations of the authors of the software, and that you use default settings for RealFeel as a start point.

The racing cars have their steering arms forward of the front axle so the value for MaxForceAtSteeringRack must be negative. If you find that your steering wheel flops over to one side or the other when starting off with the 906 or 910, press Right-Control and Num-Pad 8 together after you are moving to or on the track. This reverses the sign of MaxForceAtSteeringRack each time you press it and the value is saved in RealFeel.ini in the rFactor folder." Please see the RealFeel readme if you have any questions about RealFeel.

RealFeel recommends these settings.

[sports 2000]

MaxForceAtSteeringRack=-1500.000000

SteeringDamper=11500.000000

FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000

SmoothingLevel=0

[Grand Touring 2000]

MaxForceAtSteeringRack=2500.000000

SteeringDamper=11500.000000

FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000

SmoothingLevel=0

The tracks are not included with v1.1, they are available separately on rFactorCentral.com

Thanks to all you unofficial beta testers, most of your suggestions have been incorporated in this and in the full mod. As will any useful stuff you have to say about this release.

Go Drive!

This is both a standalone Mod and a WIP for our up coming 1970 World Sportscar Championship mod. As such it is an opportunity for you to see what we have been up to :D. We also made this mod so that you would have the opportunity to drive the smaller 2 Liter cars of the series since we know once the main mod comes out you will all be jumping into the big 5 liter cars and these lovely little cars will be neglected. :D

We are Algis, Bristow, Gunnar333, Marco F., NEChris, NormHart, Sergioloro, and taufikp,

with AlexSolerRoig, andreh, Christopher Snow, Moritz, PabloCorsico, RallyMaster, RobinM, Tspringer,

and the help of many others. Thanks guys.

This mod includes our Prototype 2000 and Grand Touring 2000 class cars. In Prototype class are four Porsche 910 and two Porsche 906 and in the Grand Touring class are eight Porsche 911 and five Porsche 914 all from the 1970 World Sportscar Championship. Four car models and a total of 19 separate cars.

Porsche 910 by Gunnar333

Porsche 911 and 914 by NFS5, converted, modified and textured by NEChris

Our cars are RealFeel compatible. These cars are designed to run with no assists like the originals. Using assists may produce unexpected results and interfere with the relative performance of the cars, depending on your settings. We strongly recommend that you turn off the vocals, hud, and all assists if you want to feel what these cars were really like and immerse yourself in the period. A clutch and H box shifter are recommended as well although autoshift will work if you want it.

See the Physics Readme for more details on these cars.

Setups are provided in the HPM Setups folder.

Also included are two tracks, Jyllands Ringen by Sergioloro and Paul Ricard 1975 by motorfx based on Carrera.4's 1988 track. These tracks are as different from each other as it is possible to be but both offer a wonderful setting for these cars.

Music, movie, and GUI by Gunnar333

The mod is a historical recreation not modern Historicals cars, as such our cars are not easy to drive at the limits nor are they balanced within the classes. The cars reflect the technology of 1970, tyres have much less grip, brakes are not as effective as modern brakes, and downforce is negligible. The 910 will always be the fastest car, there are three different engine packages for the 911s and the bigger engines will always be faster. That said a real good driver in the smallest 911 can beat a 910 in the hands of a poor driver. I've seen Christopher Snow do it. :D

We've done a fair amount of online testing and the cars are fun! We recommend that administrators consider limiting the field to only the 19 cars provided and not allow duplicate cars, if possible leagues should consider placing their better drivers in the lower performing cars and their slower drivers in the faster cars for balanced racing.

We have not found any way of producing results by class other than the method used here. It is a little clunky for car selection but the results display does show the place in class.

Finally in the Grand Touring 5000 class are four Chevrolet Corvette L-88s, one Ferrari 365 GTB4 and two Ford Mustangs all from the 1970 World Sportscar

Championship. Eight car models and a total of 39 separate cars.

Beta testing by Team Trellet and DKutz (thanks guys!)

Also included are the three tracks of the Endurance Triple Crown of the

1970 World Sportscar Championship.

Daytona 1970 Beta v0.90 By Normhart with a lot of help

Sebring 1970 Beta v0.95 By Normhart and motorfx

Le Mans 1970 Beta v0.90 By PhilRob

These are beta versions of the tracks so forgive any minor flaws. See

the readmes in each track's folder for further information.

A special shout out to DKutz who's assistance made Daytona and Sebring far more historically accurate, Thanks so much!

Concordo che bisogna aspettare i prototipi.

Provai tempo fa il Sebring 1970 0.9, ora vedo che assieme al mod ci sono Daytona 1970 (0.9), Le Mans 1970 (0.9) e il Sebring 1970 (0.95). Meritano il download?
