VELOCIPEDE
http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=290548 By my count we now have "cars" for four car folders and textures for 14 drivers. We have two cars in the game. These are all version ones cars and need cockpits, wheels, details and LOD models to bring them up to GPL standards. The Ferrari 712, the Shadow, and the T222 still need to be done. All are 3ds models (like the 35s,37s, and 51s) converted into 3do objects for GPL. We hope these models will do justice to Smogbikes efforts and others as well !!! I'll let other co-conspirators provide any other details. Long live GPL. VELOCIPEDE
This isn't Mark Beckman's project. Mark's project has a different angle of approach. He created cars were the tires weren't used but were part of the car object it self. This is a totally separate project. David Fletcher started to get the ball rolling way back. Bob [Royale] created a big number of stunning 3d cars in 3dsmax. These get exported to an ase format with help of Shaun. I convert them to GPL formats. Once converted there are a number of people creating skins, sounds, physics & menu's. So in order not to do any people short here's a list of all the hard workers : 1. Founder: David Fletcher 2. Resources, background material: Bob Berman [Royale] Greg Liebzeit [gliebzeit] Arturo Pereira 3. Physics: Richard Cooke Nigel Pattinson 4. AI & ini files: Greg Liebzeit [gliebzeit] [Lee] 5. 3D base material, scripts and exports: Shaun Collins Bob Berman [Royale] 6. 3D Conversion to GPL: Initial setup of the model - Richard [Luna] All car conversions - Martin E.C. Huiskes [Mech] 7. Menu's, carset base: Arturo Pereira 8. Skins/Painting: Charles 'Jay' Beckwith [Draftdancer] Fr
