After nearly three years of design and developement, SIModified.com is proud to announce the newest mod for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. The Whelen Modified Tour mod is the most anticipated project ever built for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season by Papyrus. The mod replicates NASCAR's oldest division of racing car that is most popular in the northeast, New York and New Jersey.

Former Winston Cup drivers Geoff Bodine, Ron Bouchard, Brett Bodine, Mike McLauglin, Jimmy Spencer, Steve Park, Jeff Fuller and Greg Sacks cut their teeth in these high powered machines and raced all over the northeast building a reputation as highly skilled drivers. The SIModified.com development team is lead by 3D modelling expert Dan Nisbet. Nisbet built the car models strictly from photographs supplied by modified consultant and Mod Series Scene.com writer Charli Brown to build each car chassis from scratch. 3D Models were then imported into the Papyrus sim platform by Matthias Reinert who was recruited from the USPits forums and together with Brown and Tracy "Tucknut" Hutchens, a development team was born. Brown and Hutchens share a common passion for the modifieds and often shared information and ideas with each other to bring this project to life. SIModified.com is a collective team effort of Brown, Hutchens, Nisbet and Reinert and SIModified.com will also be the home of the original modified online racing leagues.
