E' con piacere che vi segnaliamo questi nuovi link per la versione riveduta e corretta del mod 1988, giàprecedentemente rilasciato ma con qualche baco di troppo (relativo soprattutto ai circuiti aggiuntivi). Grazie al lavoro di un appassionato sono stati riuniti in un unico pacchetto molti degli update pubblicati in un secondo tempo. Il mod lo trovate qui o qui. Repacked F1 1988 mod season addon (NOT STAND ALONE) with all updates I've found.
- Commentary files for drivers
- Track loading screens
- Some track icons
- Track .GDBs
- Helmets
- Tobacco and non tobacco carage walls
- Detroit and Hermanos tracks
- Jarama track as Jacarepaqua
- AI setups
- Driver setups
Installation:
1) If you already have the 1988 mod installed, you must remove all files that belong to the mod. If you don't do this, then all you have is a mess of files.
2) Unzip the content to your Program Files/EA SPORTS folder.
In F1 Challenge 99-02/Save there is a folder named "your name" in that folder is a folder named Settings.
Move the Settings folder to the folder that has your own player name. It don't overwrite anything, it has only settings to 1988 mod.
3) About those big backfires. At last I managed to make them smaller, now they look much better, just like in many other seasons.
Known bugs:
Gauges don't work.
Spa: AI cars don't do a pitstop
Jacarepagua (Jarama): Pitlights are missing
Mexico: Ai cars do pitstops but can't continue race
Estoril: Cars can't do pitstops
All credits goes to the original buiders, I just repacked this.
Feel free to use this, if you don't like you can always delete it.
