Many thanks for this great looking track and all your efforts achilleez. Is it just me or is the track surface extremly bumby especially in the first turns? Apart from this it's a pleasure to drive on this classic track

Yes it can be quite bumpy, on the first corner particularly, but I've found the faster you take it the smoother it gets.

Would be great to hear some peoples lap times/car.

Anyway, glad to see you all enjoying it.

Just a quick update, after going online I noticed the pit

board wasn't positioned correctly. This can be easily

remedied by editing the nkrefs.ini (inside server folder) so

that the last part reads:-

[PITBOARD]

POS=265.500000, -94.558998, -66.744003

ROT=85.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000

Alternatively if you don't want to edit your files, I've

uploaded a fixed nkrefs.ini here :-

Pitboard Fix-Brands Hatch

update:- this is fixed in 1.1 version

Brands Hatch version 1.1 released.

Brands Hatch version 1.1

Modifications courtesy of Marco Calesella :-

All rough track bumps smoothed out.

Dingle Dell chicane re-modelled and updated to the modern Sheene Curve

configuration.

Pit lane limiter now functions correctly.

Start/Finish line adjusted so timing is accurate to the actual line.

New grid decals that display properly.

A big thank you to Marco for these improvements, great work!

Other Changes :-

Many replaced textures.(Chosen as much as possible from looking at lap videos of the actual track, while still keeping an eye on FPS.)

including:-

Better tyrewalls and some of the armco.

Nicer pitboxes.

Gravel traps.

New "Carlube" bridge.

All new advertising hoardings.

A few other bits and bobs for authenticity.

Also added more track marshalls/flags to plug gaps.

Pitboard now placed as originally intended.

UI map now works (thanks to Mario Marcelli)

I wanted to get the Indy Cicuit configuration working for this release

but unfortunately the mesh on the shortcut part of the track is really

rough and more suited to 4x4 vehicles.

However it is still possible that this may get fixed after Christmas for 1.2 or final release.

Cheers All.

Gary.

Thanks Gary and Marco for the update.

I really enjoy driving this track.

I found it very tricky to make a nice clean pass on with traffic. The layout of this circuit makes it hard to get close (not your fault of course). Just saying ;)

Suzuka 1.0

suzukal.jpg

This is my conversion for netkar of the Suzuka GP circuit.

My main task has been as a technician/mod as the track was already fantastic in its previous form for rfactor.

Suzuka

Big thanks go out to:-

The original dev's - for a well designed track.

TTTTT - for modifications.

YES - for the great textures.

Raceking - original mod and legendary rfactor track maker, for kindly

giving me permission to convert the track.

Marco Calesella - for explaining how to smooth out track mesh so

clearly, thanks man.

All who have contributed to the tutorials at Radiator Springs.

And last but by no means least Kunos for a wicked sim and tools.

Please be aware that this is a 1.0 release and as such any comments/suggestions regarding

problems or improvements would be greatly appreciated.

Have fun and perhaps post your lap times!

Gary.

Guys, I have a proposal for all of you.

Every rFactor user knows how a good website where you can find all the add-ons released is important for a game. nKP already has netKar Pro Central, but it seems that no one is using it: what do you think about starting to upload tracks there too, so that we could always find the latest releases available? It would probably be useful for everybody!
