Arnolds work on the Ferrari 458 GTC is progressing. Slowly but surely. Expect it to be ready in January

Just got my T500 RS Ferrari addon, so I think it's time to make a video with the WIP mod. Once the 458 GTC and my new game base program are done, I will record another one with this wheel, to show how it performs in rFactor and also my own game.

WSGT2: [WIP] WR LM94

Hi everyone, here are a few new previews of a new car KlaasVH is working on. This is the WR LM94 that participated in the 1995 edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans. The two cars, entered by Welter Racing locked out the front row but both cars did no finish the race. In contrast to most of the cars we’ve made, which are mostly big manufacturer outfits, Welter Racing is a real amauteur outfit. They represent the true spirit of the Le Mans 24 hour race. Expect more previews soon. As usual, all is well at RMT.

WSGT2 – Educational article using the WSGT2 published in HK China

The WSGT2 Mod & Game Project was used as a lead for an educational publcation in HK China. It feature parts of the RMT WSGT2 mod project for rF2, and the standalone WSGT2 project, by Arnold. Nice to see, however, it was very dissapointing that Arnold whas not mentioned in the publication while it is his creative property. I can only guess Marketing is no different in China then the rest of the world. Appart from that it is pleasing to see we can inspire students to get interested in the gaming industry. As usual, all is well at RMT.

WSGT2 – [WIP] Testing out the mod enviroment of rFactor 2.

rFactor 2 Beta is out. So we can start work on the WSGT2 mod as it is intended. We are not planning to rush development, and are now in what you would call " the exploration" part of the project. The Aston Martin One -77 has been the test subject of choice. We will keep you posted on further developments and findings. Note that the GT Cars will probably not be the first cars to be released. Once we feel we covered all the basics, we will start work on a CUP series car. The LOtus 2 Eleven might be our first choice. After that, we will release the WSGT in service packs. We will keep you posted.

As usual, all is well at RMT.

Wix degli RMT

We have done many discussions about modding in a commercial enviroment. Its just not done. I wont go in to the matter again, but once people start cashing in on mods, it would be the end of modding as we know it.

Human nature is a weird thing. Since day one, we had a DONATE box on the website. All in all i think about 9 people ever chipped in. That was highly apreciated. ( Once we are in Beta we will reward those who did ) Its just clear that certain people would donate a coffee so to speak, but decide not to do it when they know they dont have to. Thats the way it works.

We would love to see some support, but we will not be unhappy if it does not happen. When we release the mod, and even a handfull of people would enjoy it to the fullest, that would be thanks enough.

As part of RMT i am allready pleased that we (RMT) as a whole feel the same about the etics of modding.

For instance... Arnold has had many opportuities to quit work on the WSGT2 and go for some money in the gaming industry. However, he always stayed faithfull to what we decided when we started modding. Klaas has a very buzzy life, and Rick could also go for a commercial project if he wanted.

Yet, when we are all on our Teamspeak Channel, its clear that in the end of the day, we are all passionate Autosport fans. Building something that is closely related to that passion, can only be discribed as fun.

Sometimes " Fun" is hard work.

Maybe its a good time to thank my fellow RMT members. I have seen a lot of mod teams, and things usually dont last long.

I cant say enough how good it feels to be a part of the current RMT .

So thanks Arnold , Klaas and Rick for showing me that the word " Team" does mean something after all.

Now lets continue modding.
