Jaap Wagenvoort
The 7th event of the 2007.1 GPChampionship.com netKar PRO International Championship has been held this weekend! The venue was Silverstone. Another exciting event which as always started with a pre-qualifying session with Live Timing showing the current standings. On Saturday, the 30 fastest drivers competed against each other to decide on victories, podiums and points over two races (sprint and feature race). The sprint race saw a fantastic climax... where Gerrijts lost the win only meters before the finishline as Wagenvoort took advantage of a slipstream on the run out of the final corner of the last lap.... 0,050 between the two drivers in what was the smallest difference between the first two drivers in FR2000IC ever! The FF1800IC is the starters league. That is the league where you can gain experience for the step up the ladder, the FR2000 International Championship. The FR2000IC and FF1800IC are now already in Italy where the 7th event of the 2007.1 will be held at the beatiful Prato track. Pre-qualifying already started and lasts until 23:59:59 CEST on Wednesday evening. You can still join pre-qualifying and try to see if you can make it through to the top 15 in FF1800 or top 30 in FR2000 to qualify for the races on raceday. Remember: the races are displayed Live on the GPC website on raceday. For now it is 'just' Live Timing, but there will be a live video feed in the future as well. You can always join PQ and not participate in the races. This way you can experience the thrill of online nKP racing and show how competitive you are against a world class international field of drivers.
