GPC.nK championship

This topic will inform you on the progress of the first online, worldwide, netKar F3000 racing series. This series, called GPC.nkChampionship covers 7 races. Races are held on Monday evenings 21:00 CET. The series features 10-car races with 1-lap qualifying and races with a minimum distance of 75 km.

Race 1 - Croft - 06-09-2004

The first race was organised on 06-09-2004. Croft is the venue. After the Driver Briefing, a 10-minute Free Practise session was held. Then 1-lap qualifying started. Pedro Miguel was the last one to do his lap and he took pole away from Jaap Wagenvoort by a mere 0,024!

After the race preparation 8 drivers were lined up for the Grand Prix, the first online one in the history of GPChampionship.com. Pedro Miguel led the field in the first of 22 laps, covering a minimum distance of 75 km. The first lap was the pacelap, after which the green flag was waved.

Wagenvoort won the race ahead of Miguel and teammate Van den Hoogen, who raced his way from 8th to 3rd.

Race 2 - Rijeka - 20-09-2004

The second race of the GPC.nkChampionship season was held at Rijeka. Pedro Miguel took pole and, apart from the pacelap, never lost the lead throughout the race. Wagenvoort and Van den Hoogen completed the podium.

In total, 9 drivers qualified for the race, of which 5 made it in one piece to the finish to score points for the championship. Roblek (P4) and Labode (P5) improved on their DNF's from Croft to collect first points.

Race 3 - Adelaide - 04-10-2004

Race 3 of the first GPC.nkChampionship season took place, 'Down Under' at Adelaide. Pedro Miguel scored his 2nd win of the season, closely followed by rookie Lennart Schreiber. Christian Neumann took third for FWN after a controversial indicent with his teammate midway the race. Wagenvoort finished 5th after the crash, with Slovenian driver Tomaz Roblek in between them in 4th.

It surely didn't improve the Constructors Championship for FWN as Miguel extends his lead in the championship again.
