Has this game ever been promoted with the gaming press? It certainly doesn't look like it has. Netkar is a great game, but where are all the online players?

The most I've seen in any online race is 5, what is going on?

yes some articles have been printed in some italian's press.

Do to his network code it's hard for a new player to find online races or the comunity that is mostly italian. we meet on the shadow net at #netkar channel.

I'm sure that with netkar Pro the way to meet, join and find in online races will be easier and so there will be more player online.

if u come on the irc channel around 21 - 23 u will find many servers.

To tell the truth, with more than 6 players a server can easily crash... Unless you mean that you know only 5 players overall.

I've been using nkTraker to find online servers, and yes I mean a total of 6 players, and that is on a good day.

I came across the name of netkar when reading an article about the physics of Gran Trurismo 4 prologue, apparently netkar has much beter physics. So I decided to investigate further. From, what I've seen the Physics in the game seem very realistic, probably the best I've seen in any game and on a par with those found in Viper Racing.

The only information I've seen about finding online races is in the thread 'Newbie - Online Racing, Need help to join a Server' in the 'English Version' forum. There is no doubt that any new english speeking players will be having the same difficulties as I am.

I've never used irc, but I will look into how to use it, however I don't know any Italian, I only learned a little French and German at school.

Well, it all depends on the situation.

We at GPChampionship.com have started a netKar online championship. Last race we drove with 9 drivers without any lag problems.

It is definately possible.. best thing to do is to arrange a group of drivers of who you know that they are on a reliable connection.

Well that's the only reason i can't play netKar online. My connection (512k Broadband) is crap with netKar it seems. If I can get it sorted then I will love racing NetKar online as the afct it can be close but non-contact is possible in NetKar especially with people you know.

Why not try to contact your provider and ask if they can improve the pings to the server?
