Cant race!!

Hey i have download the game but i cant start my race. The problem is that i can drive only backwards. Cant accelerate, cant break and cant shift. The car moves only backwards. Any ideas what it can be? I have Microsoft Force Feedback Wheel (USB). Thy in advance.

Hi Magic,

Welcome to netKar! You have to take the time to properly setup the controller. I have the same wheel. Follow this instruction:

Setting up the controller can take quite some time. First click Settings -> Controller. Now you see the controller window. Try to see the gas and brake pedal and see which axe moves on the right side. Let's say this is axis Y (could also be SOI or whatever). Now click the radio button (round thing) in front of the gas indicator on the left. It should become selected. Now push the gas pedal. The axis on the right should move. Now click 'select' behind the axis that moves. You now allocated the gas pedal to the correct axis in netKar.

The same applies for the brake pedal. First click the radio button (round thing) in front of the brakes indicator on the left. Select it (should become black) and push the brake pedal. Click 'select' behind the axis that moves. Now you assigned the brake pedal. Test the game in-game if the axis works correct. If now, trying switching gas and brake by switching their values (if gas is combined - and brakes is combined +, try switching them).

Then the gears are left. Click the 'gear up' radio button on the left and it should become selected. Now click the gear button on your wheel. A button on the right lights up now. Hit 'select' behind the button that lights up. Repeat the procedure for the gear down button on the wheel.

Test the settings on the track and make changes if settings are reversed. It is of crucial importance that you assign the correct gas/brake axis and that only the gas bar (on the left) moves if you hit the gas pedal (and that the brakes bar moves in the opposite direction if you hit the brake pedal).
