Guest Shards
Hi, I've looked at the tutorials, both versions that are posted in the sticky, and the one downloadable from nkzone. I still can't get my multiplayer list to do anything. Even copy&paste or manually typing in the IP address, when I click the "add" button, nothing happens. It doesn't add the server, it doesn't tell me it cannot connect. It simply does... nothing. Please advise. Thanks, and cheers!
Guest mickyknox
One thing to be weary of is that when you copy and paste an IP in, it often puts a space at the end, be sure to delete this if it does. Other than that theres not a lot I can suggest. Could it possibly be to do with router settings or something? Simon
Guest max 2
connection type? router/firewall? internetsharing? write down ur conf so we can help. usually it takes 10 seconds before the server apears on the list after pressing add. this is the nkzone server 62.223.250.232 try with this one is always on. Guest tubular_smells
I know this may be obvious, but sometimes it's the obvious things that you just miss - anyway, only currently active servers will come up on the multiplayer list. So, when you open up the multiplayer screen, first check this url: http://risingsun.hmc5.com/nk/tracker/index...iew=server-list this gives you a list of all the currently active servers (as far as I know). Also, make sure that you have all the tracks listed for the server you then want to connect to already installed in your netKar directory. As I said, sorry if this all seems a bit obvious but I have to admit that it had me stumped for a bit at first. Hope this helps
Guest Shards
Thanks guys. Yeah, it was just the 10 second delay, plus server IP's where the servers weren't actually up, that got me stumped. I've managed to connect, so thank you all so much. One other question I have, is that on the tracker page, it lists the versions as 9.6, and I'm running 9.9... is this a problem? Guest tubular_smells
0.96 refers to the nKDaemon version (prog used to create servers), not the previous version of netKar (which was also 0.96 - hence the confusion) Cheers
