Guest zarker
I just downloaded this excellant game Here's my 1st impressions after 40 mins play. The sound is brilliant. I always think the sound of the car is one of the main parts of immersion - and this sound really makes it happen for me. But maybe the sound quality could be improved - unless it's my sound card that's the problem (mobo onboard Iforce2 thing, and earphones). The joystick setup seemed problematic. The game controller menu had Y axis for throttle, and Rz axis for brake. I had to manually adjust the controller INI file to set the brake to Y axis also. My Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro (USB) joystick response seemed a bit slow in the steering and the gear changes. This maybe a physics 'feature' rather than a problem. But thought I'd mention it anyway. Overall this game is already far better than anything Electronic Arts has managed to dish up, which always left me cold. But KT is just so exciting, with loads of immersion value. I'm gonna have loads of fun with this for ages. Hope the AI and Multiplayer sides get added quickly. Otherwise - Cheers guys

Guest zarker
OK - i can see the page now. But i have some questions. - I need a port numbers so i can get through my firewall - There were only races in formats I haven't mastered yet. Will there be any F3000, or RENAULT race servers? - Is it possible to create a multiplayer race with cars & tracks of my own choosing? This is NOT a question... FORMULA RENAULT ROCKS
Guest wilho
Netkar server uses port 6000 for default. You can allways create your own server with cars and tracks you like, and if you use very handy nkDaemon (link found in frontpage), your server becomes visible on that nktracker-list and you may have some players too after a while. Its not a problem to connect to a local server (127.0.0.1), and you dont need too much cpu or bandwith. Check out forums multiplayer sticky thread. Guest zarker
Thanks for that Wilho I can now see the races (private only), and have actually raced online But I cant get the server to work (does not appear in tracker, and i am unable to connect to my it directly using its IP address). I have the latest version installed, But I only have windows 98se. Could that be the problem?
Guest Stefano Rossi
Thanks for that Wilho I can now see the races (private only), and have actually raced online But I cant get the server to work (does not appear in tracker, and i am unable to connect to my it directly using its IP address). I have the latest version installed, But I only have windows 98se. Could that be the problem? Palmer (the author of nkDaemon) does not assure that it will work under Windows 98SE. However, he says it "could" work. Maybe you just aren't that lucky. Next version, I heard, will officially support Windows 98 SE again.
