Guest si3v
I think you used an instant translator to let us read in italian... so I'll write in english... The biggest problem I found when making a road texture is that if you make it with TOO MUCH contrast (like you made) you have an irreal asphalt image... infact if you have a look at the ground of the photo on the left... you'll see that asphalt is blurried, you can also try while driving a car (be careful :D), infact you'll see an uniform, blurried asphalt, even at low speeds. But using this metod you obtain a great speed effect. If you apply less contrast on the texture... you'll have a perfect road-like image... but you'll loose all the speed effect... I'm working since I started developing my track on this problem... and it's not so easy to resolve... Good luck!!!
Guest Uitko
I thought that the most important thing on the asphalt is to have a good result while driving incar. Yes the static screenshots taken from the outside of the car are beatiful if you sharp the image but due to the graphic engine of netKar it's not possible to have a blur effect as in real life. I have tested MotoGP2 that has implemented the blur effect at high speed, I don't know if it's realistic or not but it gives you the feeling of high speed... maybe is the future of racing games? cya on track gus The curbs are better anyway
